  • Step One:  determine a target cumulative GPA. *For Example you desire a 3.20 GPA at the end of this semester. 
  • Step Two:  Enter your Quality Hours. And click the Total Quality Hours button.
  • Step  Three:  Enter the desired GPA and click the Needed Cum Quality Points button. 
  • Step Four:  Enter your Quality Points and click the Needed Sem Points button.
  • Step Five:  Click the Calculate GPA button.

This calculator would also be useful if you need to determine a semester GPAs for several consecutive semesters in order to raise your cumulative GPA within a specific time frame. If the GPA in the red shaded area is higher than 4.0 then it will probably take you more than one semester to achieve your desired GPA.  For example, if you received a 4.0 for EACH of the Total Quality Hours indicated in Brown you will obtain your desired GPA.   In other words,  if it will take you 20 hours to obtain your desired GPA, you will need a GPA of 4.0 for those 20 hours.
